Traditional and folk music in Dublin’s churches, halls and pubs. TradFest is a chance to choose an intimate performance, a larger concert or a session, with venues across the city and county shaping the experience.

A cathedral concert, a hall performance and a pub session offer different ways to hear the music. The 2027 programme includes venues such as the National Stadium, St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Mansion House, alongside events further across Dublin. Choose by artist, but also by the kind of evening you want.

Concert bookings and pub sessions
Ticketed performances have their own booking links. TradFest also describes free, unticketed Smithwick’s Sessions in participating pubs. Free access is not the same as a reserved place: arrive with some flexibility and have another nearby option in mind. Save any concert ticket and the correct venue address before you leave.

Check the venue before planning your route
TradFest is often associated with Temple Bar, but the programme reaches beyond it, including Fingal and other parts of County Dublin. Two attractive shows may need a substantial journey between them. Build your evening around one main booking, then check whether another event fits comfortably around it.
