How do I find places in a particular town?
Open a category such as cafés or museums, choose a county and follow its town links. If you would rather start with a location, browse the county directory or use Near me.
Does this include every business and attraction?
No. Each category reflects places recorded on OpenStreetMap, so coverage varies. A missing listing does not mean a place does not exist. Trades without mapped premises are especially likely to be missing.
What do the numbers beside each category mean?
They count distinct mapped records within that category across the Republic of Ireland. Town attraction lists can include nearby places outside the town, so the same lake may appear near several towns while being counted once in its national category. Counts describe map coverage, not ratings or recommendations.
Can I check opening hours and plan the journey?
Individual place pages show contact details and opening hours where available, alongside maps and travel links. Confirm changing details with the business or venue, and search for transport on the day and time you plan to travel.
