The walk

Starting from Nine Stones, the route takes in Mount Leinster, Knockroe, Scullogue Gap and Blackstairs Mountain before ending at Knockmulgurry. The organiser gives 17.4km, a maximum elevation of 795m and about seven hours. It is intended for very experienced hillwalkers.

Register at Rathanna Community Centre, R95 HH68, at 8.30am on 4 October for a 9am departure. The €30 booking includes transport to the trail, return collection and refreshments.
