The experience
The Cailleach Chiarraí, a winter figure from local folklore, connects the programme’s themes of harvest, darkness and renewal. Large outdoor spectacles in Killarney and Tralee sit alongside smaller gatherings in towns including Dingle, Listowel and Sneem.

Before you go
The main festival period is 15 October to 1 November. Pick a town and individual event before arranging travel: this is a county-wide programme with different venues and bookings, not one festival site or one admission ticket.
