What to expect

Mothú’s Idir Dhá Shaol draws on the idea of a meeting point between the everyday world and the Otherworld. Its central willow figure represents the Cailleach, associated in local folklore with the arrival of winter.

There are two separate parades: Killarney on 24 October and Tralee on 31 October, both from 19:00 to 20:00. Tralee’s route includes Ashe Street, The Mall, Bridge Street and Rock Street towards the Island of Geese. Choose the date and town together.
