Its own account of its history

  1. 1840The licence dates from this year, according to the pub.
  2. 1880P. J. Hartnett took it on.
  3. 1894Patrick and Bridget Ramsbottom took it on.
  4. 1961William Flannery took it on.
  5. 1992Tom Cleary took it on.
  6. 2005The pub began maturing its own whiskey in the cellars.
  7. 2011David Browne played for 114 hours, 6 minutes and 30 seconds here, a Guinness World Record for the longest guitar marathon.
